Historic hardware store on the Downtown Mall, built in the late 1800’s. The building totals over 26,000 sq ft and consists of four floors in the back and three floors off the pedestrian Downtown Mall. Originally, the city’s main hardware store, the building has operated as the Hardware Store restaurant since 1976 when the Downtown Mall opened.
Octagon is in process of renovating the first and second floors as retail boutiques and/or a restaurant. The third and fourth floors are being renovated into Class A professional offices or residences. Octagon is renovating the building under historic tax credit standards and seeks to maintain the building’s historic significance while updated the site with premier modern amenities and finishes.
